Our new Jack Russell... Jack!

Our new dog Jack. (He's a Jack Russell and yes I get a F for orginality) He's a handful. He is a bundle of energy and winging the dog training doesn't seem to be working. So I have invested some time in learning about dogs and how to train them and its paying off in spades. Dogs are immensely time consuming. Jack is luckily an extremely bright dog and learns quickly.
We brought him to Petco the other day and he got along with all the other dogs there. He didn't get out of control once and Ryan was guiding him. As dogs go this one is extremely well behaved and fitting in nicely with our family. While there is still alot of training to go he is welcome addition to our home.

June 5, 2005 Update:

Thought I would upload a new picture and a video of Jack doing some tricks:

If your wondering... Yes, he is eating my carpet. BUT I have good news. (No I didn't save a bundle on my car insurance) It turns out Jack likes pig ears better then my carpet. One pig ear (And I have a bag of them) Keeps him busy for the whole day gnawing and chewing away. We also got him a 3 pack of chew toys. Of which he likes 1. But now I know what to buy! He really is a great dog.

Ryan at 3

I can barely remember when I was three but my mom tells me I didn't even know the word computer... let alone what it meant. Most of the time I played at the beach or in the sand box. Yet times change. Ryan is very adept with computers. He knows about rebooting, safe mode, blue screens, how to skip scandisk (He uses 98 hehe) etc... He's played a few games but when he was three his favorite game was Digs N rigs. He also like Thomas the Tank Engine. More nostalgia for me as I when I watched this recently I couldn't believe how much he has changed in such a short while. It all happens so fast. Here's a clip, the background noise is Age of Mythology... :-) Ryan plays Digs n Rigs.

Simba

So I am the proud owner of two cats! (Ok maybe proud is a bit strong... And i'm not sure about owning either, they kinda just live here). They love the monitors of our computers and often curl up there to go to sleep. (Which can't be good for the monitor...) Anyways heres some more pics of the rascals. The one up above is Simba and the other is Princess.

Squishy Face?

So Byn and Christine hung around one night and came up with this concept of the Squishy face... What is a Squishy face? Well I'm not exactly sure but it sure is amusing... Have a look see & post your own Squishy Faces!:

Byn Graduates!

Robyn graduated with her Bachelors of Science! It was an exciting day for all of us! Ryan had a tough time behaving until I was able to procure a pen and some paper. After that it was smooth sailing. Congratulations Byn!!!!

Dylan's Birthday Party

Ryan got to goto McDonald's for Dylan's Birthday party! As cheesy as that sounds to us adults remember how you use to love happy meals? Ryan had a blast eating and singing happy birthday and giving Dylan his gift which he had been dying to do for almost 2 days! Afterwards everyone gathered at the giant playscape. They even had an indoor basketball challenge which I am proud to say I was able to best most of the 5 years olds at... most... *sigh*

Lady Bugs set free! (And Ryan's newsletter)

Ryan with his Lady Bugs! Ryan raised some lady bugs from eggs to adults. It was a lot of fun but eventually they had to be set free. For the full scoop plus halloween stories and pictures check out the Kindergarten Chronicles.

One of my all time Favorite Pictures

Ryan finally gets the mouse. This is back when he was 2. That chair he is standing on is EXTREMELY tipsy and I was a bit worried snapping this picture.

Welcome to my blog.

Trying out some the new Google tools. They have released so many in such a short while. I have to say I paticulary like hello and this Blogging software just rocks. After just a day of use I have to say Picasa is amazing. Hello sends even large images and photos lightning fast (Normally less then a second) and is some pretty decent chat software to boot. I highly recommend downloading and using them all. It will make your life so much easier.
