The Big Picture update of the new house

Well we had to go to Nathan's Dr Appointment so we stopped by our new house. Most shots are of the outside because we're not allowed to walk through the house again until the walk-thru. (The Gate Guards let us look in at the Kitchen though)

The next pictures will likely be from the Walk-Thru or the Move. (June 16th for those keeping track!) I'm off to Sean's wedding but I thought I would upload a ton of pictures for you all to peruse. There is also a movie of an antique we saw on the way up and another of us driving down our street that you can view here.

Our Kitchen so far. We couldn't go further because of the gate guards.

The Family Room, Now with Carpet!

Another shot of the Kitchen, Robyn got to play with the Microwave briefly. It has a touch screen and two metal racks inside. The contractor who installed it recommended we put in a charcoal filter and was going to check if the unit accepted one and leave us with the documentation.

The back of our house now landscaped. (No grass yet)

I'm in there hehe, Robyn took most of these pictures!

The dogs are going to love this much space to run around.

Our Well!

The whole yard is now cleared and leveled. That is straw down and they seeded. There were a few sprinklers going as well.

Shutters are all on now and we have our concrete stairs now but our Front Porch still needs to be finished.

Memorial Day, Dan and Judes

We had a Barbecue over at Dan and Judes. Hot dogs, wiffle ball and some play time at the school. Here is a funny movie of the kids on the playground and on the way home we saw 2 antiques, one of which I caught on film.

I've added some pictures from Dan (Linked on the left under Gebben's Galleries) Those incredibly green lawns are from fertilizing 4 times a year. The fam is doing well, Cassie is almost an adult now but is still tethered to her computer unable to leave it for more then 10 minutes at a stretch, hehe. Mark is almost as tall as me now and still loves sports. He wanted to listen to 107.7 when we drove down to the school. LeLe is doing great and I taught her some multiplication. Appearantly, she says, I do know multiplication. I just asked her what 3 X 3 is and she was like.... I don't know that.... Then I said... What is 3 groups of 3. Easy, 9 she says. Hehe. We did this for a few more minutes. She is one smart girl.

We had a blast, cant wait to do it again soon. (Maybe at my new house soon)

More Memorial day pictures

This is a great picture of kids doing what they do best. Playing! Ryan wanted me to add that he DOES make it home, and Ryan and Mark won the game.

New House Update

Dan and I took a ride out to the new house for lunch. It was about a 30 minute ride there and 30 minutes back. Not too bad. We surprised the workers and went with Sal to get a tour of the progress. (No new pictures, I was in a rush)

Sal will be replacing the kitchen cabinet doors that have 'defects' and the other items we discussed with Joe a few days ago. All of the light fixtures, ceiling fans and plumbing fixtures are in and functional and they were fixing the grout while we were there. (It was white, they are making it black... It accidentally got set to white because of a computer glitch.) In the front yard they were leveling all the land and getting us ready for our June move in date.

Tomorrow the carpets are going in and then we won't be able to see the house again until the walk thru (Either Joe or Sal will be doing that). The new support poles for the front porch are in the garage and ready to be installed along with our appliances. (They are still not in but everything is plumbed for it) Counter tops were measured and are also expected this week. The little sink for the washing machine upstairs was installed too. I have to remember to bring 9 Volt Batteries (3 of them) to test the ceiling fans. The Remotes for them are in the master vanity but I didn't have batteries to test them. :( We probably will have to set each ceiling fan to a different frequency as well. I didn't see the little antennae for the remotes sticking out but hopefully those units are installed. (We have to test at the walk thru).

Yet Even More Pictures

Well Robyn handed me another camera today with all kinds of great pictures so I thought I would share some. Some are few months old but with all the activity lately is hard to keep up. In fact coming up in just the next few weeks I have:
  • Sean's Bachelor Party (Contact Sean or Tommy if Your going)
  • Memorial Day @ Dan and Judes
  • Sean's Wedding (Lots of driving, the Wedding is in MI)
  • Packing (Stop by Whenever Packing is a blast)
  • Closing on the New House (Woot!)
  • Moving To Colchester! (June 14,15 and 16.)

Anyways, here the pictures. These first 2 are more pictures from Ryan's 8th Birthday. You can find the original link here.

More Pictures - House, Nate and Ryan

Nathaniel is doing great. He's sleeping more and consequently so is Mom and Dad. (Although there are nights still...) He had his 4 week check up and everything was great. He's getting more active and staying awake for longer stretches.

Nate at the Doctors, He's up to 10 lbs 7 ounces!

Our new house is coming a long but we were unable to get in this week. Appearantly they put the new locks on and we can only get in by apppointment for the next week and then not again until the walk thru. Our appliances are there but we have yet to see them. The floors are tiled and the hardwood is in along with the linoleum up stairs but no carpets yet.

Paint is on the walls, (All white for the first year, then we can paint) and some fixtures are in. I spoke with the well guy and we have water although I was unable to find a faucet to prove his theory hehe. We are planning on Moving June 16th and shortly after will have a house warming party. If you want an invite make sure you e-mail me your address at shawn.schulze@gmail.com. (I have some of your addresses but you can send me yours just in case and I can update it.) By all means if you want to help move on June 16th you can let me know as well. (All of our stuff is packed and in storage in the garage)

Heres some pictures and I have a ton more to post when I get time.

Nathaniel Sleeping

Today Nathaniel was doing great. He was a little jaundiced but nothing to worry about. Here are some pictures of him sleeping away.

Isn't he a cutie?

Here's a new picture of Nathaniel. He is a little cranky today and wants to eat quite a bit. I walked him around for a while and he was fascinated with the mirror for a few minutes. He has a healthy set of lungs thought, of that you can be sure. ;)

Nathaniel Alexander Schulze

Well the day has come and our new baby boy has arrived. He was born at 12:00 on the dot and measured 22 and 1/2 inches and was 9 pounds and 3 ounces. He is healthy and happy.

At 12:04 he urinated on the nurse and then again at 12:06 just after she had cleaned him up the first time. Mom did great baking this one and I changed his first 2 diapers! (It was more of a honor then a chore). Currently Mom is resting up and is doing great. There was some touchy feely moments in recovery but she's doing fine now and was walking around the hospital tonight.

Today was a great day and one I will always remember. Here are some pictures which I'm sure your more interested in.

Mom, Dad and Ryan (The Soon to be, at the time, New Big Brother) wait patiently in the Triage room getting checked in.

Dad is all ready. When I went in I wore a surgical mask and a hat so the only thing you could see, really were my eyes. I sat down next to robyn and held her hand. She held mine weakly. I stood up for a moment since the procedure had begun and wanted to make sure she was ok. Everything looked in order and I said, "Honey, are you ok." It took a moment for her to reply but then she said, "Wow, you look different. I thought your were a doctor or something."

Hehe. After that she was fine. She was quite loquacious throughout and she even laughed at my corny jokes. (When she was getting stitched up and time was dragging on, seemingly indefinitely, I asked if the Dr was stitching her initials. LOL. Well atleast it was funny to us who were there hehe)

This is Nathaniel Sleeping Soundly. What a cutie.

This was taken in the triage, preop, but its such a great picture of the two. They are so excited.

Our Room Number so we don't forget. Hehe. Not that you care. Its for our nostalgia. The doctor who performed Robyn's operation had the same room 8 weeks prior when she was giving birth and one night when we had some concerns about the new baby we rushed to the hospital and were also in this same room.

The new Big Brother. Ryan was a great helper. He made his mom Special drinks (Sprite + Juice with ice) and took care of his little brother and watched over him. He had a great time at the hospital but by the end of the day he was exhausted. (He's listening to hist crickets as I type this and sleeping like a rock.) When we said our prayers tonight he had to include Nathaniel. God Bless Mommy, Daddy and Everyone I love... Wait... Dad... We have to do it again. God Bless Ryan, Daddy, Mommy and Nathaniel. God Watch over mommy and Nathaniel tonight. Amen.

This is the latest picture of Nathaniel. I think hes sleeping for the night although Robyn is sure he will wake up at 10:00.

I will keep you posted. BTW there are no 'Real' Changes at the new house. They are in the process of taping and they added some garage doors. Taping is a time consuming process and has to be done right so not much progress other then they guys doing the taping are pretty good. I will be out again soon and will post more pictures. For now Nathaniel is dominating my time. Have fun, stay safe. :)

Excellent progress at new home

We drove out and saw that all of the siding is completed and nearly all of the sheetrocking. The progress was fun to see and it gives me a better idea of what the completed house will look like. The temporary stairs are out and the real stairs are in making it much easier to traverse the new house. They are hoping to pour the garage floor and porch floor this Friday but that all depends on whether or not Mother Nature decides to cooperate. ;) The septic system looks nearly done as well.

Here are some pictures.
