The Move!

Abe, Julie, Travis, Jason and Byn's parents showed up to help us move. I had planned on more but we made do and got it done. It definitely was more then I bargained for but we did make it. Next move I will definitely hire some folk to come help in addition to inviting my friends to make sure no one has to kill themselves. (Like me, not sure my back will ever recover)

Now I am officially homeless. Here's some pictures.

A Second Floor

The house is beginning to take shape and you now get a better idea of what it will look like when its completed. Today we drove out to meet Ryan's new pedetrician and swung by the new house on the way home.

Robyn is FREEZING!

Everything is covered in snow.

More snow! Ryan and I went upstairs but the temporary stairs they have are bit frightening. We made it though. The place is coming along quite nicely. I took 15 pictures and you can find them all here: http://picasaweb.google.com/shawn.schulze/0702DanielDrive3

A snowy drive

We explored our neighborhood and stopped by the model home to pick up the plans for our new home. (Revised plans)

Fantastic surrounding area with lots of cul-de-sacs and even a few houses for sale. Progress on our house seemed minimal with some leveling and site clearing done. Lumber is to arrive in a week and framing is expected to be completed by the end of the month!

There will be much more to do following that. Here are some pictures:

Upstairs bathroom with Marble floors now.

This is for our existing house which is now sold, but you can get an idea of how it looks now. The floors alone set me back quite a bit, but they reflect so much light through our new window that it just so wonderful to wake up in the morning. They are mirror finished as well so you can actually see yourself reflected in them. :)

It was a lot more fun then I thought it would be to refinish this.

For reference, this is what we started with:

Progress at new home

So far it looks like they have finished the footing drains and backfilled the porch and garage. Next we should likely see floors and lumber soon.

We're Moving

Time to pack and throw things away. Typically it's best to wait til spring to sell your house but moving in the dead of winter sounds like a blast!

Jack and Jill visit Pet Co! We have a new leash for them where Jack is connected to Jill and then we connect just the leash to their dual Y leash.

They were very well behaved and got lots of great treats. There were actually a few dogs there SMALLER then them hehe. Just puppies I would imagine.
